How it works
Two steps, morning and night
The first step moisturizes. The second helps hold that moisture in.
Tip: apply after a lukewarm shower, while your skin is still slightly damp. Read more in Skin Notes
Lingon Emulsion 1
Apply a small amount to dry areas. Let it absorb for a few minutes, no more than five.
Lingon Emulsion 2
Smooth a layer over the top to help seal in moisture.
Keep it going
Use both twice a day. When your skin feels more comfortable, you can continue with Emulsion 2 on its own, twice a day.

The little red berry behind our name
Lingon is the Swedish word for lingonberry. If you've never seen one, here's a quick introduction.
A cousin of the cranberry
Lingonberries (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) are close relatives of cranberries and blueberries. In English they're also called cowberries.
Green through the snow
The plant is a low evergreen shrub. Its glossy leaves stay green all winter in Nordic forests and on the Arctic tundra.
Still picked in the wild
Most lingonberries are still gathered from the wild, not grown on farms.
A Swedish kitchen classic
Lingonberry jam is served with Swedish meatballs. The berries contain natural benzoic acid and keep so well that Swedes once stored them in plain water, called vattlingon.

About Lingon
Who is Lingon Emulsion for?
People with dry, rough or itchy-feeling skin, including skin prone to eczema and psoriasis. It's a moisturizer, meant to be part of your daily care, not a replacement for anything your doctor has prescribed.
What's the difference between Emulsion 1 and Emulsion 2?
Emulsion 1 is the lighter first step that you apply to dry areas. Emulsion 2 is richer, with shea butter and plant oils, and goes on top to help hold the moisture in.
Do I need both?
You can use either on its own, but they're designed as a pair. If you're new to Lingon, the Starter Set is the easiest way to try both.
Where is it made?
Lingon Emulsion is produced in Sweden, and we ship it from California. We've been doing this for 20 years.
Using it
How do I use it?
Apply a small amount of Emulsion 1 to dry areas and let it absorb for a few minutes, no more than five. Then smooth Emulsion 2 over the top. Do this morning and night. When your skin feels more comfortable, you can continue with Emulsion 2 on its own.
Should I patch test first?
Yes. Apply a small amount to a small area and wait 24 hours before using it more widely.
How soon will I notice a difference?
Everyone's skin is different. Give the routine a consistent 1 to 2 weeks and notice how your skin feels. If your skin gets worse, or becomes painful, cracked or infected-looking, stop using it and see a healthcare professional.
Can I use it alongside a prescribed treatment?
Lingon isn't a medication, and please don't stop or change any treatment on your own. Ask your doctor or pharmacist how a moisturizer fits into your routine.

Are there steroids in it?
No steroids are added. Our main ingredient is lingonberry (Vaccinium vitis-idaea) seed extract. Like many plant ingredients, it can naturally contain plant sterols (phytosterols).
Is it fragrance-free?
No. Both emulsions contain fragrance, and Emulsion 2 also contains coconut oil and wheatgerm oil. The full ingredient lists are on each product page, so you can check for anything you're sensitive to.
Can I use it while pregnant, nursing, or on a child?
Please check with a healthcare professional first. Bring the ingredient list with you so they can see exactly what's in it.
